Glass Houses - Morganville Vampires (#1)

Overview:
College freshman Claire Danvers has had enough of her nightmarish dorm situation, where the popular girls never let her forget just where she ranks in the school’s social scene: somewhere less than zero.

When Claire heads off-campus, the imposing old house where she finds a room may not be much better. Her new roommates don’t show many signs of life. But they’ll have Claire’s back when the town’s deepest secrets come crawling out, hungry for fresh blood.

Review:
Meet Claire, super-smart, early grad teen who is socially awkward, and steps on a land mine this book has named Monica, the daughter of the Mayor who is the instigator for Claire's living hell. I was inspired by the deep thought put into the scenarios brought forth by Rachel Caine to make it hard to see ahead what the main character will do to get out of the situation.

Overall I give this book four hearts. It came out on top and made for a great read, and the audiobook has a wonderful narrator, you could actually feel the intensity of the situations as the come against Claire.

Thanks for listening to my opinion!
