But in her quest to cure Damen, Ever discovers an ancient text that details the workings of time. Now Ever must choose between turning back and the past and saving her family from the accident that claimed their lives-or staying in the present and saving Damen, who grows sicker every day...
Review:
Blue Moon is the second book of the Immortals series. Well, I have to say, I still don't like this series, but it sure is addictive. I just finished it in about four hours. Even though I hated how the story goes, once you start reading, you're hooked. As usual, it's still full of Ever's internal struggles, most-of-the-time selfishness, and occasional meanness - which are some of the reasons I dislike her. Some other things I discovered about her in this book are that she has hopelessly poor judge of character and have the tendency to make completely idiotic decisions that defies all laws of logic.
Three heart review. Not the sort of heroine I would like to read about. She acts like the most pathetic example of a human being - too dependent on Damen, naive, always in denial, whinny, inconsiderate, hopeless pushover and more - which supports my hypothesis that her mind is really weak. She seems to always teether on the border of her sanity most of the time. And I really hate books that end with a bad ending, even though the story is yet to be finish. I feel that this series lack detail and explanation, focusing too much on what's going on in Ever's head than the events that are going on. It makes it hard for readers to grasp the big picture. In fact, the author seems to be making up the Immortal realm as she goes, as a lot of the things seems hanging and the cause and reasons for the events that happened are just briefly touched. So, in conclusion - still didn't like it, but definitely curious about how it's going to end.
Thanks for listening to my opinion!
