Mayfair Moon - J. A. Redmerski

***AGE ADVISMENT***
This book is advised for 17+ age group

Overview:
After a nightmarish encounter with a werewolf, seventeen-year-old Adria Dawson loses her sister, but gains the love of a mysterious young man and his legendary family.
Strange and tragic things begin to happen in the small town of Hallowell, Maine: residents come down with an unexplainable 'illness' and some disappear. In the midst of everything, Isaac Mayfair is adamant about keeping Adria safe, even from her sister whom he has warned her to stay away from.
As unspeakable secrets unfold all around Adria, impossible choices become hers to bear. Ultimately, no matter what path she takes, her life and the lives of those she loves will be in peril. As she learns about the werewolf world she also learns why her place in it will change the destinies of many.

 Review:
This has been one of the best reads I have had in a very long time. Adria is a very well developed character in the first book already, and knowing this is going to be a series just makes it all the better. Of course, I had to have my favorite medium thrown into the mash up for my Indie month and boot am I glad I choose this one!

Five hearts to JA Redmerski for a grand standing book! I was actually tempted to add hearts to my scale just for her. In your average paranormal book you have the newcomer who either gets thrown into this world and has no choice in the matter of straying in it or they find out about it in a love interest while this follows those guidelines I found a nice twist in how our lovely heroine reacts to the situation, but I will comment more on that in my next review for this series KINDRED, the second installment in the Darkwoods Trilogy. (which is totally on my must buy list on payday!) Stay tuned next post for an interview from the author herself! And make sure that you visit the website for a chance to win one of these fabulous books!

Thanks for listening to my opinion!
